So there are the qiraa'aat sughraa, the qiraa'aat kubraa...and also the qiraa'aat shaadhah??
القراءات الشاذة literally mean the abnormal/strange recitations. The qiraa'aat sughraa and kubraa are both incorporated in القراءات الصحيحة (the authentic/correct recitations). So how do the "abnormal" recitations differ from the saheeh ones? And even more importantly, how can a recitation qualify as saheeh or not saheeh? If you can, research this topic and share your findings here or give it your best guess.

I think the "abnormal" recitation is not authentic, and that's why it's abnormal.

And I think a saheeh recitation must have been carried on by the sahabah from the Prophet Muhammad salAllahu alaihi wa sallam.

Great start!
One of the conditions for the acceptance of a recitation is that it has numerous chains going back to the prophet sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam.
There are two more conditions, though. One of them is closely linked to our discussion concerning the third phase for the preservation of the Qur'aan. Who can give it another go?
