Rasoolullaah sallallaahu alaihi wasallam taught the Quran to a number of the sahabah, radiyallaahu anhum.
In Tabaqaatul Qurra by Imam Al Dhahabi, he mentions seven sahabah who were well known for taking their recitation directly from the prophet sallallaahu alaihi wasallam. They were: Uthman bin Affaan; Ali bin Abu Talib; Ubay bin Ka’b; Abdullah bin Mas’ood; Zayd bin Thabit; Abu Musa Al Ashari; and Abu Al Darda’ ridwanallaah alaihim ajma’een.
So, to make your statement inclusive, you should simply say “...the sahabah”.

Blessings arrive with gratitude [to Allāh],
and gratitude is connected with more [blessings],
and the two are tied together:
more blessings from Allāh will never stop
unless gratitude from the servant stops.
